In the beautiful frame of the Agricultural Development Group (GDA SIDI AMOR), the first edition of the Innovation Camp dedicated to Non-Conventional Water Resources(NCWR) took place from 7 to 8 February 2023. 

Participants coming from different Institutions of 8 Mediterranean Countries were invited to draw on their expertise and co-create solutions for the integration of know-how and best practices related to the valorisation of NCWR in local/regional strategies and plans as well as at the economic level for a sustainable management of a scarce resource.

During the innovation camp, three parallel working sessions took place, each dealing with a specific challenge:

Challenge 1: NON-CONVENTIONAL WATER CLUSTER OF KNOWLEDGE

Challenge 2: TOWARDS A MEDITERRANEAN CAPITALISATION ALLIANCE

Challenge 3: CIRCULAR WATER FOR CIRCULAR BUSINESS

The Innovation Camp has been undoubtedly a great opportunity to foster the integration of the NCWR into the water governance system at MED level.
