مرفق مصمم لمعالجة المياه العادمة من خلال مجموعة من العمليات الفيزيائية والكيميائية والبيولوجية لتقليل محتواها العضوي والغير عضوي وبعض الملوثات الميكروبية في مياه الصرف الصحي.

ملحوظة 1 : هناك مستويات مختلفة من معالجة مياه الصرف الصحي، ويعتمد مستوى المعالجة على  الجودة المطلوب الوصول لها لمياه الصرف الصحي المعالجة ومستوى التلوث.
